Buzz Bunny Coffee Porter

Review Date 3/13/2026 By John Staradumsky
So, it was a Thursday night, and I was at Taco Mac. That’s not all that unusual, but this Thursday just happened to be the one before my birthday, and I got a text from my son. “We doing anything for your birthday?”. We agreed that we would and would coordinate with the other kiddos.
Where to go? Well, breweries of course, but which ones? I immediately thought of Round Trip Brewing in Atlanta. We had been there a few years before and I love their German style beers. I noticed they have a new taproom in Marietta and decided to visit it and a few other breweries in that area.
How about some old friends? Red Hare Brewing, also of Marietta, came to mind, I had been there before and been drinking their beer for ages, but when I went to check their hours, I learned they had closed their doors for good. How could I not know this? I was saddened, very saddened. I then thought of Ironmonger, also nearby, where we had gone as a group before. Sadly, they too are out of business.
Three of the four beers I drank that night were local beers, which had already been my plan before I made my unhappy discoveries. One of them that really stood out was Six Bridges Buzz Bunny, a coffee porter. It seemed apropos to toast the memory of Red Hare with a bunny beer.
I could not find anything about the beer on the Six Bridges website, but I did find this on Untappd:
Brewed especially for Taco Mac's March Madness Bracket Challenge, Buzz Bunny continues our 'bunny brew' tradition, this year, with a HEAVILY coffee infused porter.
Six Bridges Buzz Bunny has an alcohol content of 5.1% by volume and I paid $7.51 for my 23-ounce mug at Taco Mac.
Six Bridges Buzz Bunny Coffee Porter pours to a jet-black color with a thick fluffy tan head and a nose that explodes with robust dark coffee grinds. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body and immediately bursts with dark black roasty coffee grind notes. There is a hint of caramel and cream, and at the last the beer is long and dry roasty bitter.
I just loved this beer, it was like a coffee pot blew up in my mouth, they were not kidding when they said it is a heavily coffee infused porter. This one screams coffee folks, and truth be told it kept me up that night later than usual. I would love to drink it again, and if you get the chance, you should drink it too.
Support your local brewery, friends. Ah bee, ah bee, ah beer uh that's all folks!
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
