Clear Nights West Coast-Style India Pale Ale

Review Date 4/27/2026 By John Staradumsky
It’s draft night! Draft night for the NFL, and what goes better with the draft than a few drafts? I mean draft beers of course, so my son and I headed off to Taco Mac for both and, of course, some of their legendary wings. First beer up: Clear Nights West Coast-Style IPA by Aslin Beer Company.
I am a firm believer that all things come to those who wait, and that if I cannot go to the beer, eventually the beer will come to me. When I tried my very first Aslin beer almost ten years ago, a can of Champion of the Sun IPA I got from beer legend Chuck Triplett, not only were Aslin beers not sold in Georgia, but you apparently had to stand in line at the brewery to get them.
Now let me say this about that: I don’t stand in line for beer at breweries. There’s just too much good beer out there to do it, even in today’s reduced circumstances for the craft brewing world. At some point, the beer will come to me, and that’s just what happened with Aslin, now available here in Georgia and at my local Taco Mac.
Aslin says:
Hopped with Chinook, Centennial, Citra and Mosaic.
Inhale the peach and tangerine aroma, balanced with tropical, dank notes. So clear you can see the stars.
Escape to clear nights.
Aslin Clear Nights IPA has an alcohol content of 7% by volume and I paid $8.94 for a 23-ounce draft mug at Taco Mac. Total Wine sells it for $11.49 a six-pack of 12-ounce cans in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Aslin Clear Nights West Coast-Style IPA pours to bright orange amber color with a medium sized head of creamy foam and a nose of tropical mango and citrus rind. Taking a sip the beer is medium in body with toasty caramel malt, tropical mango, tangerine and stone fruit peach, and candied citrus fruit. Finishes very bitter and long and dry.
I enjoyed this beer, it was tasty indeed fresh on tap and went very well with a double order of Taco Mac’s legendary wings.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
