Saw a six-pack of this beer today (I had never heard
of it before). Comes packaged in a cardboard box to "keep brite". This beer is a
Catamount
American Original, and is described as "double-fine, triple-filtered(tm) so
it is uncommonly smooth and brilliantly clear." Packaged in clear glass, painted
label bottles. Pale bright golden color, fizzy carbonation, large but
short-lived head. Delicate light malt nose. Very light bodied, light hint of
malt, notes of corn, imperceptible hop finish. This is a stab at the American
light lager drinker, but at about $7.00 a six pack may be too pricey for that
market.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
