The front label of this beer gives no indication as to style (other than "Belgian Special Ale"), so I was a bit curious as to what was inside when I popped the top. The first whiff was spicy and indicated Wit to me, and sure enough as I looked at the back label it indicated a coriander spiced brew. Clovis is brewed by Brasserie Dubuisson, famous for Bush Beer (Scaldis in the U.S. in deference to Anheuser Busch).

Clovis is orange-white in color with a well-formed and durable head that chases the beer to the bottom of the glass. It has spicy hints of coriander and strong notes of orange rind, with some light malt flavor and tart wheat character. The finish is warming and the mouthfeel a bit fuller than most wits I've tried, some pineapple notes reminiscent of Scaldis are here as well. A bigger and bolder take on a wit beer. Superb.
