Coddington Dopplebock is brownish-red in color with a sweet, faintly estery nose. The palate is rich, malty sweet and warming in the finish with a big 7% alcohol, it's rare that one enjoys a brewpub lager as nicely made as this one. I enjoyed several pints of this dangerously drinkable brew, which the brewery offers in the fall and early winter. Highly recommended.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
