Enjoyed on draft at Monk's Cafe in Philadelphia.
Rich ruby color, light carbonation, minimal head formation,
yeasty Belgian nose. The palate is slightly sweet with a candyish
character and a Belgian horse-blanket yeastiness that builds steadily into the rich
finish. This beer was the perfect accompaniment to a chicken-and-apple
sausage sandwich with raspberry mustard and a basket of Belgian frites
served with bourbon mayonnaise.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
