Equilibrium beer! I have had more than a few different brews from this Middletown, New York brewery, though I have not reviewed them all yet. I definitely need to work on that, and in that spirit I am not wasting any time telling you my thoughts about Dream Wave Fluctuation Double New England India Pale Ale. This is a collaboration with one of New York's other great darling breweries, Other Half.
This is also the first Equilibrium beer I have enjoyed on tap, ordered at Taco Mac because I wasn't going to miss out on it. I have seen Equilibrium beers in their app a few times prior, but when I got to my Canton store, there it was, gone!

About Equilibrium Brewery
In 2009 we decided to open a brewery. We went heavy on the science and still continue to do so as beer is incredibly complex. We were brewing 6 batches a day to get the right distribution of compounds in the glass which triggers the cascade of 'wow this is really good' which then brings people together and creates memorable experiences.
In 2015 we purchased Henry Street in Middletown NY, which became our base of operations.

Tasting Notes
My glass of Equilibrium/Other Half Dream Wave Fluctuation Double New England India Pale Ale arrived a super hazy yellow color with a light head formation and a nose of juicy citrus pulp and rind. Taking a sip the beer is medium in body, smooth and silky from the oats and a touch creamy from the lactose. It has a soft (and surprising) caramel maltiness, juicy grapefruit, tangerine, lemon and a quite bitter citrus rind finish.
Value & Verdict
I paid $8 for an 11-ounce glass at Taco Mac. Gotoliquorstores.com has it listed for $22.99 a 4-pack, and can help you find a retailer with stock. Maybe.
I very much enjoyed the smoothness from the oats and the delightful citrus notes from the hops. I would absolutely buy it again, even at the high price.
