Contract brewed by Catamount for the Essex Brewing Company in Niantic Connecticut. The label indicates the six pack I bought is best consumed by November 1998, the beer tastes quite fresh. Pleasant amber color with good carbonation and malty-fruity nose. The palate has a good malt character, slightly toasty with a good touch of pear like flavor and a very respectable and lingering East Kent Goldings finish. This beer reminds me quite a bit of Catamount's Tenth Anniversary Ale. Recommended.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
