This is a very interesting and tasty beer from Humes brewing in Glen Ellen California, an area better known for it's wine than it's beer. Indeed, this beer is sold in a convenient 750ml wine type bottle, perhaps a tip of the hat to the area it originated from. Jaipur is an organic brew, and is re-fermented in the bottle with fresh wort, giving it a rich, rocky head of foam. The nose is quite spicy, as is the palate with a pronounced peppery hoppiness that lasts right on through to the finish and desperately claws the tongue to linger there for awhile after you sip. Jaipur weighs in at an impressive 57 IBU's, with 5.6% alcohol by volume and an original gravity of 1062. Recommended with spicy foods or by itself, Jaipur is a delicious beer. Try a glass today!
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
