Lawson's Epic Sip Imperial India Pale Ale

Review Date 3/2/2026 By John Staradumsky
We made it to the big game! Yes we did, and for that I needed a big beer. My beloved New England Patriots made it to the Super Bowl, and I was drinking a beer from each of the New England States to celebrate. Those beers were:
Maine-Allagash White
Massachusetts-Harpoon Flannel Friday
Rhode Island-Narragansett Lager
Connecticut-Two Roads Roadsmary’s Baby
New Hampshire-Smuttynose Spank Farmhouse Ale
And the beer I am here to speak to today, Epic Sip Imperial India Pale Ale from Lawson’s Finest Liquids of Vermont. This was a big beer for the big game in more ways than one, it has a formidable alcohol content of 9.5% by volume, and it comes in a big can-19.2 ounces.
Lawson’s says:
Our larger-than-life imperial IPA delivers a juicy tropical fruit hop character with a balanced malt backbone. Crack it open, breathe it in, and experience dynamic hop aromas of epic proportions.
Although I chose this beer to represent Lawson’s home state, it could have also been my Connecticut selection since the stovepipe cans are contract brewed and packaged by Two Roads in The Nutmeg State. I paid $6.49 for my can from Half Time. It is stamped PKG 05NOV25.
Lawson’s Epic Sip pours to a hazy orange color with a thick fluffy white head and a nose of vibrant citrus orange fruit. Taking a sip, the beer is medium in body to just a tad more with a subtle hint of caramel. It quickly explodes with juicy orange fruit, some navel but also some deeper notes of cara cara and blood orange. It is very refreshing and finished with a balancing, slightly herbal bitterness.
An epic sip indeed, and a beer I very much enjoyed. A rebuy for me.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
