Round Trip Brewing, I told you I was coming to see you! I had tasted my first Round Trip beer at Taco Mac not long ago (the delightful Dunkel Platz) and that made me want to visit the brewery. So I did! We had a slight mishap along the way unfortunately, my son backed into a pole in the parking garage near the last brewery we visited. We survived, though, and we made the trip to Atlanta and Round Trip.

It is a really cool place, too. I ordered a sampler of four different beers to start, and the first one I tried was the delightful Straight Outta Munich Spezial Helles. I enjoyed a taster of this beer with some very tasty empanadas from a food truck parked outside and it was a perfect match (the Hefeweizen I drank next was too).

Round Trip says on their website:

Lightly kilned malts and German Noble hops

Both of those things really stood out to me when I tried the beer, which has an alcohol content of 5.6% by volume with 21 IBUs. A half-liter draft was running $7 when I was there.

I was super impressed with the simplicity of Straight Outta Munich Spezial Helles. It was simply bursting with fresh bready and biscuity malt and balanced with a bitter finish. I found it to be an outstanding example of the style, and I look forward to drinking it again at home, at the brewery, or at Taco Mac.

Glad I tried it?  T

Would I rebuy it??
