Southern Tier Imperial Pumqueen Cider with Pumpkin Flavor

Pumpkins to the left of me, apples to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you! Remember that song by Steeler's Wheel? What's that you say? That's not how it goes? Well. It could have gone that way, in an alternate universe where clowns and jokers do not exist, but pumpkins and apples abound. That said, the only one of these things that I found in my bottle of Southern Tier Imperial Pumqueen Cider with Pumpkin Flavor were the apples. I expected both apples and pumpkin (as well as spice), which is how this whole thing started, but we don't always get what we expect in life.

Actually, this is not a beer, it's a cider, so apple flavor and aroma is to be expected, but it does have pumpkin in the name, so I am looking for pumpkin. Even the spices here did not really suggest pumpkin to me, because many of them are often used in apple pie, so that's what you get, apple pie in a glass. Still, I really enjoy cider, yet this is the first one I have reviewed here on Guruofbrew.com.

Southern Tier Imperial Pumqueen Cider with Pumpkin Flavor has an alcohol content of 8.6% by volume and  my can is stamped BEST BY 07/01/27.
