Evil Haze Factory IPA

Review Date 10/3/2018   By John Staradumsky

That Dale Roberts! He sent me a box of beer! What a great guy! Not only did he send me a box of beer, he sent me a box of GREAT beer! The first one I cracked was a beer from Weldwerks of Greeley, Colorado, because I’ve never had a Welwerks beer but have heard such great things about them. Definitely need to start packing a box to send back.

Anyway, the beer in question is Evil Haze Factory. There is no information on the beer on the brewery website, although it is listed as one of “100 New Beers for 2018!”. 100 new beers. I can’t keep up. The can label says Weldwerks Evil Haze Factory has an alcohol content of 8.6% by volume and is a “New England Style Double IPA”. It is brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Galaxy hops.

Weldwerks Evil Haze Factory pours to an opaquely hazy orange color with a thick foamy head and a citrusy grapefruit minty nose. Taking a sip, the beer is smooth malty with tons of citrus (grapefruit peel and orange), tropical passion fruit and a long dry very minty bitterness.

Love the long leafy minty notes and explosive juicy notes. Thanks Dale!

And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
