On their website, Weldwerks lists 100 beers they’re offering in 2018, thought they don’t tell you much about them. Ratebeer does have this blurb that they apparently got from the brewery, however:
Fresh off the canning line is Transmountain Diversion, a collaboration beer we brewed with our friends at Casey Brewing and Blending for The 5th Annual Collaboration Beer Fest. Transmountain Diversion is an 8.6% ABV New England-style Double IPA brewed with nearly 9 lbs/bbl of Nelson Sauvin and Citra hops, and it’s the first beer we have ever brewed with Nelson hops and already one of our favorite Double IPAs ever!Weldwerks Transmountain Diversion Double IPA pours to a hazy orange color with a light cap of creamy foam and a soft citrusy orange nose. A thick layer of Brussels lace forms on the sides of my glass and descends with the liquid to the bottom of the glass.
Taking a sip, the beer is smooth and light malty, very citrusy with orange and grapefruit juicy notes, a bit of white wine/grape from the Nelson Sauvin, grapefruit rind and a bitter minty herbal finish. Very tasty indeed, I am really enjoying this one. It reminds me of the Evil Haze Factory Double IPA with a touch of Nelson Sauvin flare.I can’t thank Dale enough for sending it.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
