Coffee Cake Break Graham Cracker Crumble Coffee Cake Imperial Porter

Review Date 4/21/2026 By John Staradumsky
Hey! Didn’t I just have a coffee beer from the Six Bridges brewery of John’s Creek (my creek!), Georgia? I did. It was their delightful Buzz Bunny Coffee Porter, and I had it on tap at Taco Mac, which is the only place you can get it. Maybe at the brewery, too, but the beer was brewed especially for Taco Mac.
That was just last month, and now here I am again at Taco Mac and found another Six Bridges coffee brew on tap: Six Bridges Coffee Cake Break Graham Cracker Crumble Coffee Cake Imperial Porter. Doesn’t that sound good? It sure sounded good to me, so it was the first beer I ordered, as I was afraid they might run out.
Six Bridges says:
This strong porter
combines local coffee, graham cracker, vanilla, and cinnamon for a
dessert-like-but-not-too-sweet pastry experience.
Coffee Cake Break is a deceptively easy-drinker with deep dessert-like
flavor and aroma for the cold months ahead.
Like Buzz Bunny, Coffee Cake Break is brewed with coffee, but unlike Buzz Bunny, it is also available in cans. I paid $8.94 for a 23-ounce draft at Taco Mac. Total Wine currently sells it for $16.99 a 4-pack of pint cans in Alpharetta, Georgia.
My mug of Six Bridges Coffee Cake Break Graham Cracker Crumble Coffee Cake Imperial Porter arrived a jet-black color with a thick creamy tan head and a nose of spicy cinnamon and licorice. Taking a sip the beer is medium to full in body, popping with Graham cracker streusel, light coffee grinds, chocolate, cinnamon and licorice. It finishes dry with roast and warm with alcohol.
Growing up in New England, my favorite coffee cakes were from Drakes, and I still love them today, even if they were bought out by Little Debbie. The dark beer character here does not so much suggest the overall theme of those sponge cake and streusel treats, but you do get the impression perhaps of one of them will a cup of coffee. I need to pick some of this up in cans and try them together. I’m betting that would be a real treat.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
