Twelve Days of Beer Mango Wheat

Review Date 12/10/2025 By John Staradumsky
I didn’t need any beer, that much must be made clear, or nothing wondrous can come of this tale. Mind you, I leave it to the reader to decide if anything wondrous can come from this tale anyway, but it must be understood as I said before, I didn’t need any beer.
This, of course, never stops me from buying beer, and so when I spied Twelve Days of Beer 12-packs stacked on a pallet at my local Aldi, I bought one. Twelve assorted beers for $19.99 seemed a good deal, and after all they are brewed by ABW at New Realm Brewing in Virginia, a very good brewery indeed. I had recently picked up a six-pack of their Patriot’s Reserve American Lager and found it quite worthy.
In this collection you will find:
Amber Lager
Lemon Shandy
Hazy IPA
Imperial IPA
American Light Lager
Mexican Lager
Dry Stout
And the beer I’m here to talk about today, Aldi Twelve Days of Beer Mango Wheat, a beer of 4% alcohol by volume. It is stamped on the bottom PKGD 090925.
Aldi says about the 12 pack:
Celebrate the season with the Advent Calendar 12 Days of Beer. This 12 pack includes a variety of 12 fl oz beers, from Spiced Winter Lager to Dry Stout. Perfect for holiday gatherings or as a festive gift, each beer offers a unique taste experience. With different flavors and styles, this pack keeps the celebrations interesting. Make the holidays merry with the Advent Calendar 12 Days of Beer.
Aldi also sells a beer called Mango Ride Mango Wheat Ale that has the same alcohol content and that I suspect is the same beer. If you enjoy the Mango Wheat Ale in the calendar 12-pack, you can buy Mango Ride for just $8.89 a six-pack at Aldi. A very good deal these days. Of this beer Aldi says:
Mango Ride Mango Wheat Ale is a refreshing blend of wheat ale with a tropical twist of mango. Perfect for a sunny day, this 4% ABV beer pairs well with grilled meats and spicy dishes. Enjoy it chilled for a crisp, fruity experience that transports you to a beach getaway. Grab a pack for your next BBQ or casual hangout and experience a taste of summer in every sip.
Now, there is really only one way to approach this beer, and that is as a fruit beer. Judged against other fruit beers, I found it quite refreshing and full of luscious, juicy mango flavor. The funny thing about beer geeks, though, is that they will drink a Mango Wheat beer full of mango flavor and exclaim, "Bah! Fruit beer! Boring!". Those same beer geeks will drink an IPA that throws fruity mango notes and declare, "Good IPA!". Sigh.
Aldi 12 Days of Beer Mango Wheat pours to a light yellow color with a moderate head of short-lived fizzy foam and a nose of luscious mango fruit. Taking a sip the beer is light in body, crisp and clean with wheat. It pops with mango fruit and is balanced with enough hop bitterness to make it refreshing. It was tasty as the opening beer on a football Sunday.
This is the fifth beer I have tried out of the holiday 12-pack, so I am almost halfway through. None of the beers have been earth shattering, but none of them so far are bad, either. An interesting assortment, well worth the $20 price of admission. A great gift idea for a budding craft beer enthusiast as well.
Glad I tried it?

Would I rebuy it??
